Hello!

So, you've probably noticed...or should I say not noticed me around much. As of December last year I decided I needed to make a change in my business, for me and my family. Since I still have a toddler at home, I was finding myself spending way to much time editing during the day, which took time away from my youngest daughter. I tried editing at night while she was in bed, but that did not make for a happy mommy come morning, when I was only getting a few hours of sleep. Something had to change, and so I decided to cut way back on the number of Photo Sessions I could do until she enters school, and that will be August of 2012. So until then I will be doing session on a very limited basis. I will schedule 4 Sessions a month, and what that means for you is that appointments will be harder to get at the last minute. I will schedule Sessions out as far as 90 days, and remember payments are due within 72 hours of booking in order to hold your Session. As of right now I have a very limited number of spots left for September and October, and I might be able to squeeze 1 more Session in for November. If you are a returning client you will be given the VIP rate, please email me for details. If you are a client that took advantage of "The Special For Life" promo, your rates are the same...but remember you must have your Sessions a minimum of every 12 months, otherwise you will go to the VIP rate. All Sessions will be charged State Sale Tax.

** Project 52 ** A Picture A Week

So, I'm kinda taking the actual Project...which is supposed to be 365 Project and revising it. I've wanted to do this ever since I read about it, but I need to be real with myself and not set my self up to fail. With time being pretty limited these days, I thought my revision would be manageable and prepare me for the actual real project when I have more time. The idea is to help you become a better photographer and make you think outside your normal box. So stay tuned this week, you'll see my 1st picture!

Welcome Baby B!

Back in October the Mayfield Family Welcomed their newest addition to the family...Baby B! I had the pleasure of going to their home to take some pictures. I was greeted by Little Miss M. I hadn't seen her since early summer and she greeted me with a huge smile and introduced me to her new brother. These two are going to have so much fun growing up in this house! There will be endless amounts of things to do...I just loved this families home and land! Mom made many wonderful things for us to use in the photos...and then she gave them to me...uhhhmmmm...how nice was that!!! Thank you mom for everything!

The W. Family

So, I love this family! They are fun...the dad has a funny request every time...I will keep that request private as it would take too long to explain...lol For this Session our mission was Holiday Portraits. They brought the ENTIRE family along...not one member of their beloved family was left out!! Since these were meant for Holiday cards I will not be showing pictures with the whole family...don't want to ruin Mom's surprise!

Say Hi to Valerie

So I got very behind in my blogging, so I am attempting to get caught up.

I will start with Valerie, she is a Senior at Hays Highschool. While Valerie is still deciding what she would like to do after she graduates, I am sure she will have a bright future ahead of her!! We headed downtown to see what neat spots we could find.

The Girls

An evening of Photography with the girls!!! I found a great location and took my favorite girls out for "Pictures"! Oh, how I love this location!! If I had some extra money I would buy this place and turn it into my "Dream Studio". I just uploaded these and had to share some :)

Because every age has a stage.

There are so many things I love about this Family! First, they actually are my family...lol, second, they watch my children...which I am ever so grateful for! But, I think what I really liked about having the opportunity of photographing them, is they are telling a story. A story of where they are in their lives, right now. I love that there is ever lasting love, there is a new love, and there is the family bond and acceptance.

I think once our kids get past the "cute baby" ages, we forget the importance of family photographs. I can think of at least one hundred reasons...that will be for another post, on another day. So, when you look at these photos, think back as to when you last took the time to have family portraits done. They are so very important, at ever age!

"T" Family, number 2!

Now...here is "T" Family number 2!

I had 2 families in the same week with the same Last Initial.

I had such a hard time choosing just 4 pictures to share...there are soooo many! There was Mom, Dad, their 3 Little (precious & sweet, I must add) girls, grandma and Aunt who came out for this Session. So, needless to say 4 was not even fair to have to choose!

I had a fun evening with this family! The boys were sooo cute and so patient with me...and I ask a lot from them, so I'm always surprised when there aren't any meltdowns. Dates & Locations:

We will shoot your session in the heart of the Warehouse District, in Austin. This area has great old buildings, walls, neat old doors and much more. This shows the great spirit of Austin.

October 24th:

We will shoot your session at the always wonderful Mayfield Park, in central Austin. This park is a favorite of many. It has great stone walls, iron gates, ponds, an old white house, beautiful landscape, peacocks and much more.

One Year Later!

So nearly one year ago baby L was born. I had the pleasure of taking some newborn pictures of her. She was so cute and looked like her Big Sister, dark hair and all. I suspected Baby L. might get the beautiful, brown, curly hair just like her Big Sister! So, imagine my surprise when mom opened the car door and I saw a BLOND little girl...and boy was she cute!!!



Big Sister, S. I just love her, she is the sweetest thing ever...and I want her hair!





The innocent gaze is just so precious to me! What they must have been thinking??? I always wonder!




I loved having the opportunity to see this family again, they are AWESOME!!!

Sisters

Sweet, sweet Sisters. I love the bond between siblings, and this special pair was a blast. I could see the love that they have for one another, but it was funny to see the "normal" sibling pestoring going on also. These girls are so cute, loved them!
